Тема: Рабочий день современного школьника

Цели и задачи урока:

Образовательные:

  • тренировка использования лексического материала в устной и письменной речи;

  • обучение подготовленному сообщению на основе прочитанного текста;

  • развитие навыков монологического высказывания по теме;

  • развитие навыков чтения с полным пониманием прочитанного;

Практические: тренировка использования лексического материала в устной и письменной речи, тренировка грамматического материала, научить использовать в устной речи речевые образцы, развитие фонетических навыков, понимания иноязычной речи на слух;

Сопутствующие задачи: развитие фонетических навыков, развитие навыков письма;

Развивающие: развивать произносительные навыки, развитие ассоциативной и долговременной памяти, развитие мышления, логики, внимания учащихся, расширять кругозор учащихся.

Воспитательные: воспитывать уважительное отношение к учёбе; воспитывать дружелюбное отношение друг другу, воспитывать интерес к предмету, воспитывать культуру общения, воспитывать умение контролировать свою деятельность и деятельность других учащихся, формировать навыки самостоятельной работы.

Оборудование: тетради, учебники, наглядности по теме, доска, карточки с заданиями для развития навыка говорения, карточки с грамматическими заданиями, письмо, карточки с вопросами.

Тип урока: «комбинированный».

Ход урока:

  1. Орг. момент

  4. Тренировка навыков письменной речи

  5. Физкультминутка

  6. Тренировка навыков работы с текстом

  7. Тренировка навыков устного высказывания по теме

  8. Подведение итогов и д/з

1. Организационный момент (проверить подготовленность учащихся к уроку; введение учащихся в атмосферу иноязычного общения).

P: - Good morning, good morning,

- Good morning to you

- Good morning, dear teacher

- We are glad to see you.

T: - Good morning, children. How are you? Take your seats, please. Nice to meet you.

- What is the date today? What is the day today?

- Well, children today we have the unusual lesson. We have got some guests at our lesson. So, let’s show them how clever you are.

- Today we are going to review the topic “School life”. We’ll ask and answer the questions about English and Belarusian schools, read the text about English schools, practice your grammar.

2. Проверка домашнего задания:

T: - At first let’s check your hometask. You were to do ex. 6 at page 40. You were to name your timetable for tomorrow and to do it in a form of project. So, let’s see what we have.

- Children, we have too little time, that is why we’ll check only some of your projects. The rest I’ll check at home.

- And one boy went further and decided to do the project with using computer technologies. (Просмотр видеоролика).

- And now the second part of your homework. You were to write some questions to interview me about how I learned in my school days.



3. Основной этап:

I. And now, children, the next task for you. Look at the blackboard. You are to put in the right word:

1. She … many books.

2. He … many English words.

3. They … poems by heart.

4. I … tests in the exercise – books.

5. We … all the questions.

6. She often … good marks.

7. You always … to your teacher.

(reads, answer, learn, write, knows, listen, gets)


  • Translate some word-combinations from these sentences:

  • to read books;

  • to know English words;

  • to learn a poem by heart;

  • to write a test;

  • to answer the questions;

  • to get good marks;

  • to listen to the teacher.

II. And now the next task. Open your exercise – books and do the exercise.

- Make up the right sentences:

1. At/starts/ our/ 8 o’clock/school.

2. Teacher/always/the/remembers/hometask/our.

3. Learn/ poems/ we/ sometimes/by heart.

- Now you are to make:

The 1-st sentence – negative

The 2-nd sentence – interrogative

The 3-d sentence – negative

III. – Funny things happen sometimes at school. Read some of them and guess in what lessons they happen.


  • But two pupils will work separately. You are getting cards where you are to put the verb “to be”.



IV. – And now look at the blackboard. Have a try to describe these pictures (pupils). Say if they are good or bad pupils and why.





V. Физкультминутка

- Listen to the song and sing to the music. Say why school is cool. Can you add any other reasons?





VI. – Yesterday I got a letter from Great Britain. Jimmy is a British pupil. He is writing about his school. This is his letter.



VII. – Let’s check how you understood the text.

True/False



  1. Schools in England have numbers.

  2. Lessons start at 9 o’clock.

  3. Lessons usually finish at 2 o’clock.

  4. Children go to school at the age of five.

  5. One lesson is 40 minutes.

  6. English children have lessons on Saturday.

VIII. – This is the timetable of Cedar Grove School. Look through it and answer the questions:

  1. How many lessons have the children got every day?

  2. What subjects do they study?

  3. What subjects haven’t you got on your timetable?

IX. – Now, let’s compare English and Belarusian schools. Divide into two groups. The first group is English pupils. The second group is Belarusian pupils.

  • Answer the questions:

  1. Do… schools have names or numbers?

  2. At what age…pupils go to school?

  3. When do…lessons start?

  4. When do…lessons finish?

  5. How much time is … lesson?

X. –Now P1, P2 will tell about English/Belarusian schools.

4. Домашнее задание:

-Your hometask is to write about your school:

2. Our schools have… (numbers/names)

3. We go to school from…till… .

4. Our lesson is … minutes.

- Well, children, thank you for your work. You were really great/good today.

I’ll put good marks to everybody.


  • And at the end of our lesson I want to read the proverb: “It’s never late to learn”. Try to remember it.
